A full redesign and custom build for a New Jersey transmission specialist bespoke theme, geo-targeted location pages across their service area, technical SEO and accessibility, now on an ongoing hosting and maintenance partnership.
Tri-County Transmissions & Automotive is a trusted, family-run drivetrain specialist in Parsippany, New Jersey, serving Morris County and the surrounding region. They had the reputation and the expertise “Drivetrain Specialists You Can Trust” but their website wasn’t pulling its weight or reflecting the quality of their work. They came to Mediamato for a complete redesign.
I rebuilt the site from the ground up on a fully custom WordPress theme, engineered it for local search across their service area, and made it fast and accessible. It went well enough that Tri-County stayed on for ongoing hosting and maintenance.
The challenge
A specialist local business lives and dies by local search. A driver with a failing transmission searches for help near them, right now so the site had to rank across Tri-County’s whole service area, load fast, build immediate trust, and make it dead simple to book. The old site did none of that well. The redesign had to look the part of a decades-established shop while doing the technical heavy lifting to actually bring in calls.
What I built
A complete redesign on a custom theme. A modern, clean, trustworthy site built to purpose high-quality imagery, a transparent four-step service process, and clear paths to book by phone, email, or online. Custom-built, not a template, so it stays fast and easy to maintain.
Geo-targeted location pages. Tri-County serves Morris County and well beyond Essex, Passaic, Bergen, Sussex, and out-of-state clients too. Using dedicated location pages, the site targets those specific areas in local search, so drivers find the shop for their town instead of the site relying on one generic listing.
Technical SEO + accessibility. Clean, semantic, crawlable code, structured data, and WCAG-standard accessibility throughout — the foundation that helps a local business compete in search and works for every visitor.
An ongoing partnership. The redesign went well enough that Tri-County kept Mediamato on for hosting and monthly maintenance the site stays fast, secure, and up to date, and they have one accountable person to call. That’s the real measure of a build: the client wants you to keep looking after it.

A fast, accessible, locally-optimized site that reflects the quality of Tri-County’s work and brings the right customers to their door plus an ongoing relationship built on it going right the first time.
